Google Map Maker expands

Google Map Maker is now available across the world, in 164 countries. Recently, 43 new countries and territories, including Argentina, Costa Rica, and Fiji were added. Google Map Maker is about users editing maps to create a local data. It is user-dependent. Here is a sample of how users transformed the map of Islamabad, Pakistan:


I tried editing the map of the place where I had my BS degree. When I saved the edits, it says "Changes pending moderation" by another user. By whom? Who would moderate it? This moderation is not clear enough for me.
