GTG Offers Exclusive GIS Manager’s Workshop

Only three weeks remain to register for the GIS Manager’s Workshop in West Sacramento! Geographic Technologies Group, Inc.’s (GTG) will offer the exclusive GIS Manager’s Workshop in West Sacramento, California, on July 8. There are limited spots remaining; register before it’s too late!

West Sacramento is one of the first west coast cities to successfully launch an enterprise-wide GIS initiative. They have combined the practicality and ease-of-use of GIS to offer pubic kiosks to their citizens, and have effectively saved thousands of dollars annually with other GIS related cost savings. West Sacramento’s location will offer students the opportunity to view a successful GIS operation, and provide the practical knowledge many GIS managers must have to succeed.

This workshop is ideal for both GIS and IT professionals. Topics covered in the workshop include Managing GIS, The Governance of GIS, The Enterprise Implementation of GIS, and The Business Case for GIS, with a focus on local government.

“GTG’s long lasting relationship with the City of West Sacramento, as well as the City’s devotion to a successful GIS, makes them a perfect host for the GIS Manager’s Workshop,” said Hinton. “Together, we will provide insightful and practical examples of how a GIS can be successfully implemented.”

West Sacramento is just one location in the series of workshops that GTG’s owners, Curt Hinton and David Holdstock, are offering nationwide this year. The West Sacramento workshop is expected to be the most highly attended workshop in this series, so don’t miss out! GTG will also offer the GIS Manager’s Workshop in Olympia, Washington, on September 3.
