Intermap Technologies Corp. today announced that its Intermap Federal Services, Inc. subsidiary has received a USD $8.1 million contract to provide 3D digital elevation data and orthorectified radar imagery for an international project. Data will be used for topographic map production, 3D visualization, and natural resources management.

Using the Company’s proprietary Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (IFSAR) technology, Intermap will begin collecting and delivering radar mapping services for the client in 2008 and will complete the project in early 2009.

“The award of another large contract to our contract services business underscores the high level of confidence in the market that results from our record of meeting our customers’ expectations and delivering a high-quality end-product,” commented Brian Bullock, president & CEO for Intermap Technologies. “The completion of data collection in Europe, coupled with the increased capacity in our operations, enables Intermap to undertake this type of project and continues to remind us of the value we bring to the worldwide market – whether through custom data collection activities or our off-the-shelf NEXTMap® program.”
