INTERGEO East Conference postponed

The INTERGEO East 2009 Conference should have been held on January 27 - 29 at the Istanbul Convention and Exhibition Centre (ICEC) in Istanbul , Turkey. Today, INTERGEO East 2009 organizers announced the postponement of the event to May 2010. No specific date was mentioned.

The main reason for this decision is, that we have to accept, because of the world wide financial crises, not to be able to build up the needed performance for the trade fair and conference. Under this current global circumstances, we can not guarantee the balance of offer and inquiry.

To avoid bad impressions, costs and a failure of INTERGEO East 2009, the local committee in Istanbul and we as well as DVW, as the license sponsor, decided to postpone the show.

We all agree, that Istanbul is under normal circumstance a good place for INTERGEO East, especially because we can reach besides the region Southeast Europe also the Middle East partly. All partners for 2009, especially the ISPRS and Istanbul Technical University, already committed their cooperation for 2010.

We hope for your understanding and would be very glad, to welcome you in 2010 in Istanbul again as exhibitor of INTERGEO East.
