20 Russian Remote Sensing Satellites for by 2020!
Russian engineers say that our country will have 20 satellites for remote sensing of the Earth by 2020.
The satellite group will start making up early in 2009. Engineers scheduled launching of two satellites – meteorological spacecraft “Meteor
M1” and geosynchronous satellite “Electra-L1” – for next year.
Next stage of the programme includes launching of resource satellite “Resurs-P” and emergency control vehicle “Konopus”. Despite financial crisis scientists are quite optimistic about this exploration programme.
