Maptitude for the Web 5.0

Caliper Corporation, a worldwide leader in GIS, transportation and mapping software, reports strong interest in Maptitude for the Web at the GeoWeb 2008 Conference held July 21-25th in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Caliper showcased Maptitude for the Web 5.0 for the first time, allowing attendees to explore the new features of the upcoming release of Caliper's web mapping platform.
Maptitude for the Web version 5.0 makes it easy to build web mapping sites. You can create attractive web mapping applications in a few minutes by connecting your maps to the application templates included with the software.

Maptitude supports many geographic formats, comes packed with data and allows access to a vast array of spatial analysis tools. Maptitude for the Web supports Windows web server platforms, and includes application templates for Ajax web mapping and Google Maps integration:

* AjaxMaps: A true Ajax GIS desktop in your browser, with tools for selecting map features interactively or by query, a tree-browser that automatically provides access to maps drag-dropped to a folder, and a table viewer that lets you download selected data directly to Excel.

* GoogleOverlay: Overlays any Maptitude thematic map with the Google Map control via the Google Map JavaScript API (a valid Google Map API key is required).

Caliper provides turnkey geographic web application development services including hosting, "Web 2.0" mashups, mapping services, map user interface design, client-side programming using unobtrusive JavaScript and server-side programming in PHP or ASP.NET (VB.NET and C#).
