Leica SpiderWeb 2.2’s Virtual RINEX network-corrected data

A new generation of features and functionality incorporated into the latest Leica SpiderWeb version 2.2 GNSS Internet reference station data distribution software by Leica Geosystems delivers significant improvements in data usability and efficiency for both service users and service providers. Particularly exciting is software’s ability to apply full network correction information to create Virtual RINEX observation files for advanced post-processing services.

Neal Toso, product marketing director – structural monitoring for Leica Geosystems, says, “The GNSS SpiderNET’s RTK network processing capability post-processes raw GNSS data with network-corrected data in a virtual environment. Bottom line, users get complete position data that is more accurate and reliable than conventional post-processing techniques.”

Additionally,Leica SpiderWeb version 2.2 advanced services and add-ons for GNSS network web services includes a centralized automatic coordinate computing service, and an integrated interface with Leica GNSS QC for real-time status and quality information for all reference stations. Finally, Leica SpiderWeb allows service providers to easily and comfortably communicate with their registered users thanks to the integrated email client.

SpiderWeb ‘Lite’ Version
Customers can also take advantage of Leica SpiderWeb ‘Lite,’ an affordable start-up solution for GNSS data web services available with SpiderWeb version 2.2. With this easy to use yet powerful software solution, administrators can quickly present their GNSS station or network data for public or internal access via standard web browsers.

Leica SpiderWeb Lite supports station map view with Google Maps™ and detailed information with a direct link to raw data resources through direct FTP browsing. SpiderWeb ‘Lite’ does not require a protection key and can be used with any FTP data repository. It does not contain user access management functionality. Should this become required an upgrade to the full version of Leica SpiderWeb for advanced functionality and services can be done easily.
