DMTI Spatial Supports Advancement in Geographic Sciences

DMTI Spatial (DMTI), a leading provider of enterprise location intelligence solutions, is pleased to continue the sponsorship of awards presented to outstanding graduates by the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS), Nova Scotia Community College. DMTI has partnered with COGS for the past nine years to recognise excellence demonstrated by COGS students. The 2008 award for Best Analytical Major Research Project in the ‘GIS for Business Advanced Diploma’ Program was awarded to William Livingstone. The 2008 award for the Highest Standing in the ‘Serving Maps on the Internet’ course was presented to Blake McDonald.

“COGS helps to advance the education of future Location Intelligence industry leaders by offering the necessary skills and training. DMTI Spatial is proud to be associated with such a program and would like to congratulate William and Blake on their outstanding achievements,” said John Sorrell, VP and GM of Mapping Solutions at DMTI Spatial.

DMTI is the founder of the Spatial Mapping Academic Research Tools (SMART) program, designed to supply colleges and universities with affordable mapping and data products. Currently, over 45 institutions participate in the SMART program across Canada.
